How to use Hyalufil?
Initial Therapy
One vaginal pessary to be inserted into vagina before bed ONCE DAILY for 10 days. If needed can be extended to 20 days.
Maintenance Therapy
One vaginal pessary to be inserted into vagina before bed ONCE every THREE days
Place one pessary into the vagina with a clean finger daily at bedtime, for at least ten days. You can increase to more than ten days if needed. Subsequently, it can be taper down to once every 2-3 days depending on evolution of symptoms.
Once inside the vagina, the ovule will dissolve within approximately 40 minutes, in which time it forms a layer on the vaginal wall. Hyalotim is not meant to be used during sexual activity. For sexual activity, a short acting vagina lubricant will be more appropriate. Hyalotim is a long acting vagina moisturizer that will help to restore moisture in the vagina area, it should be used regularly to reduce daily symptoms of vagina dryness
Yes, Hyalotim may be used to aid in healing vaginal abrasions associated with childbirth, such as small tears or episiotomy. However, it should be used after lochia (vagina discharge during postpartum period) has cleared.
